Eco-friendly Dyes
Of all industrial processes, textile dyeing process is recognized as one of the most environmentally unfriendly. Every year, 200,000 tons of dyes are lost during the dyeing process due to inefficiency and unfortunately an estimated 10-15% of dyes used in the process end up contaminating the environment if not appropriately treated.
This is why we chose to partner with a Bluesign certified dye house for our black Sakura legging deal. Bluesign certification is the gold standard for eco-friendliness and is used by very environmentally conscious brands like Patagonia. You can read more about it here. By partnering with a Bluesign certified dye house, we're ensuring that the dyes we use are safe for the environment, workers, and you.
